Unique Grier

(she/her)

LP

Unique brings both clinical training and lived experience to her work. She has worked with individuals from a wide range of multicultural backgrounds, including those who are newly arrived from the Caribbean and navigating the experience of building a life within Westernized culture. She also has extensive experience supporting individuals and families who have lived through domestic violence.

Unique earned her Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University. Her clinical work focuses on supporting people through anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, and substance use. She draws primarily from a person-centered approach paired with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), holding the belief that therapy is at its best when it honors the whole of who someone is, not just the part that is struggling.

As a Black woman, mother, and partner, Unique brings her lived experience into the therapeutic space. She understands what it means to navigate the world as a person of color and as a woman, and she carries that understanding into the work she does with her clients, especially when language alone cannot capture what someone is carrying.
