MHC Intern
Jason Lipschutz (he/him) is a Master’s student in Northwestern University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. He was drawn to this work through a lifelong interest in understanding and connecting with people, combined with a prior career in business and creative fields that deepened his appreciation for how stress, relationships, and life transitions shape emotional wellbeing.
Jason works with adults who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain and who are seeking relief or deeper self-knowledge. He strives to create a grounded, collaborative space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. His approach is eclectic, informed by psychodynamic ideas while integrating practical tools when helpful. His style is warm, curious, and conversational. Clients can expect a balance of reflection and gentle challenge, with an emphasis on building insight, emotional awareness, and meaningful, sustainable change.
What Jason values most about therapy is witnessing moments when clients begin to relate to themselves with greater clarity and compassion. Outside the therapy room, he enjoys running, sports, comedy, and exploring New York City with his family.
