MHC-LP
Lauren is a Mental Health Counselor-LP who obtained her MS degree at CUNY Queens College. She works with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages presenting with ADHD, anxiety, depression, relational stress, family conflicts, body-image concerns and adjustment-related difficulties. She uses Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, and a supportive client centered approach to assist in emotional regulation, challenging negative thinking, and building insight into relational and behavioral patterns. Her style is structured yet warm and inviting, offering a safe space for the client to share without judgement. In session, a client can expect a collaborative relationship with a balance of validation, solution based support, and compassionate accountability. As a Puerto Rican and Spanish speaking clinician, she values cultural awareness, authenticity, and the impact of family and identity on mental health. Her clients describe her as warm, direct, insightful, and supportive—someone who both validates their experiences and gently challenges them to grow. Outside of the therapy room, Lauren enjoys spending time with loved ones, crocheting, and trying new things. She is a proud cat mom and loves blending humor and real-life insight into conversations.
