ABOUT > CLINICIANSKristyne Ramirez
(she/her)
MHC-LP
Kristyne (she/her), is a Mental Health Counselor-LP who obtained her Masters program at City College of New York. She works with children, individuals, families, and groups, specializing in trauma-informed care, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and perfectionism. Kristyne values lived experience and representation in the field. She is especially passionate about destigmatizing mental health and supporting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities through culturally responsive, affirming care.
Kristyne draws from Behavioral Analysis and integrates ERP, ACT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and psychodynamic approaches to help clients build resilience and autonomy. Her style is warm, empowering, and direct. In sessions, clients can expect collaboration, creativity, and curiosity — with space for art, somatic movement, and reflection. She meets clients where they are while gently challenging patterns that no longer serve them. What Kristyne loves most about therapy is helping clients break intergenerational cycles by leaning into vulnerability and reconnecting with values. As a second-generation Dominican American, she understands the weight thoughts can carry and the pressure and isolation that can come with being the first to break generational patterns. Clients describe her as kind, insightful, and deeply genuine.
Outside of her clinical work, Kristyne nurtures her inner child through movement, creativity, and connection. She enjoys dancing, taking nature walks, trying new eateries, crafting ceramics, and reading thriller or sci-fi novels. Kristyne is excited to work with you and be a supportive part of your journey towards growth and self-discovery!
