MHC-LP

Jessica Li is a Mental Health Counselor-LP at Awaken, specializing in trauma, relational and attachment concerns, anxiety and stress management, emotional regulation difficulties, substance use and coping, and life transitions and adjustment challenges. She takes a person-centered approach, centering therapy on what matters most to each client and supporting them in a way that feels meaningful and respectful. She draws from Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy and is incorporating Internal Family Systems to help clients explore and work with different parts of themselves.

Jessica has always been drawn to understanding people beyond the surface. Growing up in New York as the child of immigrants, she navigated family expectations and questions of identity that shaped how she sees mental health and the importance of feeling truly understood. Becoming a therapist felt like a natural extension of that curiosity and commitment. Jessica loves this work because it allows her to witness people discovering what matters to them and finding their own voice while making sense of their experiences on their own terms.
