Amanda Feliciano

Amanda Feliciano is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor – Limited Permit (LMHC-LP) specializing in children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, complex trauma, inner child wounds, and what she often calls “being tired of being tired.” She works closely with BIPOC youth and families, as well as individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community, creating affirming spaces where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered. As a queer woman of color, Amanda thoughtfully integrates her lived experience into her work, honoring the unique layers of identity, culture, and resilience her clients carry.

Amanda takes a holistic, person-centered approach grounded in unconditional positive regard. She meets clients where they are, offering gentle support when safety is needed and direct guidance when growth calls for it. Drawing from trauma-informed care, inner child work, and evidence-based practices, she helps clients better understand their patterns, reconnect with their strengths, and build practical tools for navigating daily life. Sessions with Amanda are warm, collaborative, and reflective, with space for both deep insight and grounded action.

What Amanda loves most about therapy is witnessing the moment clients begin to see themselves more clearly, recognizing not only their strengths, but also learning to appreciate the parts they once judged. Having done her own mental health work, she brings authenticity and deep empathy to the room. Clients describe her as warm, validating, insightful, and someone who truly meets them without judgment.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys volunteering at local animal shelters and exploring new parks and dessert spots throughout New York City.
